…When you become more and more in love with Mansur Gavriel.
The duo; Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel first had my attention with their bucket bags; but as of late I am obsessed with backpacks; so when I saw these, I became a true Mansur Gavriel fan. To be honest, even if I wasn’t going through a backpack phase- I’d find it hard not to be drawn to these beauties. Especially, since I love love love orange and this dusty powder pink is trending right now. Granted, there are an array of colours to select from, however the above pair couldn’t be more perfect!
The backpacks are so simply in style yet make such an impact as a fashion item. As simple as Mansur Gavriel’s designs are known to be, their inspirations from “the contrast of warm, natural textures and the clear, clean intensity of pop colors” are strongly and consistently represented; making each “simple” piece far from Plain Jane but more of a statement piece contender. Designed in New York with great attention to detail and made in Italy with the finest materials, Mansur Gavriel are really starting to stamp their mark – and I can not get enough!
Backpack envy much?!
Just when you thought an Apple Watch was wearable/ fashionable technology, the fashion designers of today tell you otherwise!
Last night’s Met Gala, saw actress Claire Danes quite literally glowing on the Red Carpet! Dressed in Zac Posen, Danes was all about the LIGHTS, Camera, Action!
Having worked for Google in the past, Posen is known for more than just embracing the evolution of technology, but bringing it to the runway and fusing his technological creativity with fashion!
The Cinderella like gown, is made from custom fibre optic woven organza; that I can only assume cost a lot and was a challenge to work with-a stylish challenge nevertheless! Although the dress is a little too bright for me (just a tad), I am impressed by the idea and given Zac Posen’s background, he is a true creative genius! All in all, it is a lovely gown and Claire Danes looked stunning in it! She really lit up the room!
I never thought I’d even consider nude shoes, much less wear them, but the latest collection from Louboutin kind of make it look cool…
…Granted, I have no idea what they would even look like on my foot or what I would even wear them with, but they definitely step over the safe ‘playing it safe’ line! Ironically, you would think a shoes so simple and plane would be considered ‘playing it safe’, however the ‘nude move’ is definitely a bold and brave one!
Available in 5 nude “skin tones” and 4 different styles; there is plenty of choice for every fashionable lady that wants to go nude this season! With a heel varying from 100-120mm, and a selection of peep, pointed and rounded toe; from the Deepik Kid, Pigalle, Fifi Kid and So Kate ranges; it truly is a stylish nude experience!
Amongst those trending across the runway at New York Fashion Week is the pencil cut skirt with a split. Remaining at a respectable hight, the split works. Going for the chic casual look, AW15/16 ready-to-wear is defiantly something I can get on board with. Naturally, I love the orange skirt by ICB (guilty); not only because obviously its orange but the off-centre split is much more appealing, plus the mini skirt under layer, come-lining adds a certain depth to the skirt as a whole. Worn by the model quite casually, the structured skirt can also be dressed up with a change in top, shoes and accessories. #Love
Tibi and CC Chris Gelinas also went with the more casual look compare to both Altuzarra and Brandon Sun who went for slightly dressier alternatives. For me, Tibi’s cream/nude emsemble was a close second contender after ICB. Pairing the off-white leather skirt with a cream wooly jumper is definitely a look I can’t wait to see hit the streets come AW 15/16. The thick collar that borders on ‘polo neck’ is what stands out most for me. The Gelinas skirt in light khaki is also favourable. Its a slightly less fitted cut compare to the others nevertheless, it works. Personally, I wouldn’t have paired it with those socks or shoes and perhaps a cream blouse instead; but simply as a pencil skirt with a split; I like it. The latter however, I can not say the same for. To me, the styling behind both the Brandon Sun and Altuzarra designs could have been executed better.

I know I haven’t posted anything Chanel related in a while, so this is certainly well overdue, yet I still do not know what to say. I quite literally am speechless. Truth be told, all I want to do is put up a row (or five) of the smiley faces with the red love heart eyes, since I’m pretty sure that’s what my eyes did-still doing in fact. This Chanel Boy bag is B-E-A-UTIFUL! There’s nothing else to it, it’s perfect. There’s no “I like it, but…” Or ” yeah, if…” to it, it just is. I like everything about it; the colour, size, style, detailing, material, even the box it comes in; I love it.
If perfection was a handbag, this finely crafted Chanel black leather Boy bag, would definitely be it. I can not fault Mr. Lagerfeld at all. For me, It’s the brocade style detailing that I adore the most; it gives the bag so much more depth, making it more visually appealing and unique. Why go for the traditional plain black or quilted classic in the Boy, when you can have this? The raised brocade texture without a doubt completes this luxury fashion accessory; representing Chanel at its finest!
Its that time again…Marc Jacobs time…ooh yhh!
Having being caught up in uni work and needing to save for the next chapter in my life; Traveling, I have tried not to spend so much money. For me the only way to do that, is by not looking. But now that I have finished my degree and I am free as a bird, I have too much time to just look. So I think its about time i made a new purchase. These new Marc’s are adorable, stylish and perfect for summer. As with all things Marc Jacob’s, I love them. Although I can’t quite decide on what colour yet, I do know that one of my next pay days, its on!
