Christian Louboutins are back in nude and in every shade! From flat ballerina pumps, to stilettos, T-bar heels, sophisticated court shoes pointed and peep toes; Louboutin have a shoe for every woman and better yet, they all come in an array of “skin tone” shades! So with summer around the corner (I use the term “summer” loosely in the UK), you can go nude all over- well almost!
When fashion is inspired by art and art is inspired by fashion; its just one big cycle; and it will continue to go around, then come back round again!
A contributor to the De Stijl art movement, Piet Mondrian was (and still is today), known for his abstract compositions of primary colours (red, blue and yellow) in a black grid of vertical and horizontal lines, against a white background; Mondrian !
His classic compositions were also used as backdrops in the fashion industry, before taking the catwalk in 1965 in the form of an A-line shift dress by Yves Saint Laurent. This iconic “Mondrian dress” was debuted in the Autumn/Winter ’65 season in both a jersey and wool knee length style shift dress.
Since then, similar dresses and other garments alike have been re-inspired and reproduced. Some taking the runway like the infamous YSL piece and others straight to high-street stores or street fashion.
When the hot and sexy, yet oh so sophisticated Louboutins you want, don’t just have a “Red Bottom” but are red all over! – Plus, there’s a stunning studded shoulder bag to match!
[see what i did there?!]
Red Christian Louboutins would never have been my first choice, however these red Anjalina stilettos lightly embellished with gold studs, are gorgeous! Personally, I’m not big on the studs trend, but the few used here (rather than in excess, as typically fashioned) work to this particular shoe’s advantage. Its as if each stud was well thought through in regards to positioning and delicately placed on the beautiful red leather- and I love it! This is definitely the kind of style i’d go for, when it comes to a red studded heel! #WishList
…Because we all need some eye candy and a little motivation for that monday morning feeling!
We’ve all been there, done that and as a result, know how much it sucks. It’s ok from time to time, just don’t let it become a habit because that’s when it becomes a problem. I’d rather have the confessions of a shopaholic than regret of a sensible person! Wouldn’t you? With summer drawing to an end so are the sales, and if it already hasn’t AW collections are about to hit the stores.
So history doesn’t repeat itself, keep an eye out for that winter favourite, because it’ll be gone in a flash. With that said, some stores still have final clearance sales, so if an item you’ve had your eyes on is still up for grabs, go grab it while you still can or the ghost of fashions past will be on a new haunt! Just saying!
I know I haven’t posted anything Chanel related in a while, so this is certainly well overdue, yet I still do not know what to say. I quite literally am speechless. Truth be told, all I want to do is put up a row (or five) of the smiley faces with the red love heart eyes, since I’m pretty sure that’s what my eyes did-still doing in fact. This Chanel Boy bag is B-E-A-UTIFUL! There’s nothing else to it, it’s perfect. There’s no “I like it, but…” Or ” yeah, if…” to it, it just is. I like everything about it; the colour, size, style, detailing, material, even the box it comes in; I love it.
If perfection was a handbag, this finely crafted Chanel black leather Boy bag, would definitely be it. I can not fault Mr. Lagerfeld at all. For me, It’s the brocade style detailing that I adore the most; it gives the bag so much more depth, making it more visually appealing and unique. Why go for the traditional plain black or quilted classic in the Boy, when you can have this? The raised brocade texture without a doubt completes this luxury fashion accessory; representing Chanel at its finest!
Walking down the runway at Chanel’s haute couture show in Paris, Cara Delevingne had heads turning once again, as she wow’d the audience in Karl Largerfeld’s bridal designs. Looking extremely elegant in the delicately embellished bridal-style dress, the supermodel made her way down the catwalk in a feather headdress; followed by a page boy, also in a glamourous white suit. What surprised everyone most, were the luxurious, yet extremely casual trainers that completed Cara’s ensemble; as well as completeing every other couture outfit on the Chanel runway.
