The 46th NAACP Image awards….
…some of my favourites from last night’s red carpet!
Above is my favourite of them all. Although I’m yet to find out the designer for this gorgeous gown; director, screenwriter and film distributor; Ava DuVernay, pulls it off amazingly. The elegant dress is the perfect cut, colour and shape. DuVernay truly looked stunning. Although she did not win yesterday, she was nominated for best director for her work on Selma. She is also the first female black director to be nominated for a Golden Globe.
Below is Orange is the New Black’s Uzo Aduba (Crazy eyes) looking out of character but stunning nevertheless as she rocks a pastel gown and matching lippy on the red carpet. Teyonah Parris in a modern day Disney princess-like dress. Sharon Leal standing out in royal blue. Tracee Ellis Ross in a textured figure hugging dress. Kerry Washington is back in the game after her wardrobe horror at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago, as she poses in A red floor length dress and Ferragamo clutch. Last but not least is Gabrielle Union in a cut-out, slightly backless light peach dress.
